IT WAS MY SON BIRTHDAY WEEK AND HE LIKE TO GO TO THE FRANCH QUATERS. THE HOTEL WAS CLEAN, CALM, QUIET. THE ROOMS WHERE GREAT LOTS OF ROOM . RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF EVERY THING IN THE FREANCH QUATERS . YOU ARE ABLE TO SLOW DOWN AND TAKE LIFE AS IT COME . WE WOULD COME BACK TO STAY AT THE BOURBON ORLEANS HOTEL .

The Bourbon Orleans is what you expect if you know the French Quarter. It's a bit worn and noisy but if you were expecting a Hilton Garden Inn you shouldn't be in the French Quarter anyway. Love the hotel, the staff is good, not great, just regular folks, You talk to them like equals they will treat you well. You go in with some prima donna attitude and they will stick it to you and guests like me will be laughing at you as they do it. All in all it's my 6th time there over many years and it's always consistent, great location, walking distance to anything and everything you could want or need (tip: take a cab there, parking is lousy this isnt suburbia), good service, nice people (the guys out front are the heart and soul of the hotel take a little time to talk with them you will be happy you did), great town and I'll be back.

If you need to stay in The quater The Burbon Orleans is very good. Not great. Most of the hotels in this area are basicly very, very old. The rooms are mostly small and do not have some creature comforts. We moved from our original room. It was too small. If you have lot's of stuff ask about the size of the rooms. The AC in the rooms seems to be on a timer. Not so good. If you have been to the area you know it's hot and humid most of the year. You need the AC on most of the time. The Resturant in the lobby is great for breakfast.

The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly and the location can't be beat! It's an old property, in need of some new carpet, paint re-touching, and some new mattresses and pillows wouldn't hurt. We were disappointed that we could not access the mini bar and had to resort to room service for beverages, but overall it was a pleasant stay and we would definitely go back.

I am from New Orleans and came back for the playoff game. My family normally stays at Loews. However, this trip (just my husband and I) decided to stay in the heart of the quarter. The hotel is in a great location, but the hotel staff were rude and uninviting. I am not certain of the negative "above-you" attitude - but they had it! The room was dirty, and had a heavy smell of mildew and dampness, it was soo bad my husband had horrible headaches the entire weekend, so bad that he couldn't even "drink" them away. The toilet was cracked and "caulked" back together. The bed was uncomfortable but not rock hard. There was no room service that we saw (not that you would want to stay in the room anyway), and no bar. They had fresh coffee on Sunday, but that's about it. It is an average hotel in a great location. Just be careful about the dampness and mildew in the rooms. The smell reminded me of my grampa's house after Katrina.
